Daily schedule
Day 1
The cycling holiday starts at the brand new, in April 2010 opened, Amadore Grand Hotel De Kamperduinen in Kamperland. We welcome you with a complimentary drink and a delicious snack from Zeeland.
You can safely park your car at the associated car park or in the parking garage**.
The cycling route for the first day leads you around the Eastern Scheldt.
On this beautiful ride you will see the Eastern Scheldt Storm Surge Barrier, typical dikes, nature reserves, and, of course, the Zeeland Bridge. This day you will also pass by unspoiled landscapes, areas, in which the effects of the 1953 flood disaster are still can be seen, and maybe you will even spot a seal. The cycle ride ends at the Amadore Grand Hotel De Kamperduinen.
Afterwards you can indulge yourself in wellness; get a relaxing massage or beauty treatment and dine in Brasserie De Kamperduinen, where the chef will spoil you with dishes from a palette of Zeeuwse Zilte Zaligheden (Zeeland’s Salty Delicacies).
Day 2
After a relaxing stay in Amadore Grand Hotel De Kamperduinen, at the end of day 2, we will welcome you in Amadore Hotel Arneville in Middelburg. The cycle ride of today takes you along the Veerse Lake; across the island Northern-Beveland and past nature reserve ‘De Schotsman’. You have to make a crossing with the foot/bike ferry to Veere; from there you continue your bike ride to Middelburg.
Discover the atmospheric city centre of Middelburg, where you can shop, relax in an outdoor cafe and admire the historical city. At night you can seat yourself in Grand Café Raymondo for a delicious dinner.
Day 3
After your stay in Amadore Hotel Arneville you will be expected in Amadore Grand Hotel Arion in Flushing on the third day.
The bike ride leads you through vast dune landscapes, where you can feel the salty sea breeze and have a look at the glistering of the North Sea. You pass by small villages and the bike ride ends on the unequalled boulevard of Flushing, where Amadore Grand Hotel Arion is located.
After ride you can take a nice walk on the boulevard or on the beach, admire the many ships that pass Flushing, enjoy the many outdoor cafes or visit the marina and finally enjoy a dinner in Restaurant/Brasserie Arion5 .
Day 4
On the fourth day of your cycling holiday, we welcome you back at Amadore Grand Hotel De Kamperduinen after a bike ride through beautiful scenery.
This day you will discover another part of beautiful Walcheren when you ride across the Veerse Gatdam – with to your left the North Sea and to your right the Veerse Lake – back to the starting point of your Zeeland cycling holiday.
Day 5
The last day of your cycling holiday takes you to Northern-Beveland, with its historical villages. But there is also the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing wellness day, where you can get a wonderful beauty- and/or wellness treatment so you can go home feeling like a new person.
